The complete title of the book is Never Quit! The Back to Basics Fitness Guide. It takes you through the four major categories or steps to a healthier and happier you. It's not like the short term gimmicky programs that we see a lot of these days. There's nothing flashy here, just a very simple straightforward approach to health and fitness. Never Quit takes the basic fundamentals of a healthy lifestyle and puts it in an easy to understand format for everyone.
With this new book, you can learn how to not only be a healthier person, but you can also learn how to lose and keep unwanted pounds of fat off. You do this through knowledge. It's through the knowledge of what makes a healthy diet, how to cope with stress, exercise basics, living a balanced life, and how the spiritual affects the physical body, that you will learn how to be a well-rounded, fit person. As I go into greater detail in the book, fitness really starts in the mind and the heart.
Our bodies are organic machines that takes us everywhere we want to go, and we keep it for life, but most of us treat it worse than we do our automobiles. We shovel in the wrong kinds of foods. We test ourselves to see how far we can go without sleep. By failing to take care of our bodies we generally limit the number of miles we can get on our bodies just like a car that doesn't have regular maintenance.
Taken right from the book from the beginning chapter -
"This program consists of four simple categories that make it possible for almost anyone to be better off than they were before – tomorrow, next week, and the next year.
1. Mental and spiritual
Each section takes you to another level of health and fitness as you progress through the book. How far you go depends on how serious you are about living a healthy lifestyle. Use this book to help you frame a healthy lifestyle that fits you at whatever age or level of fitness you may be. "
I'm convinced that despite the ton of information out there on health and fitness, many people don't seem to have the right tools to get into shape. By this I mean, they simply lack the basic specifics. So many books out there have diets that are surrounded by sensationalism with stories about cavemen and prehistoric diets or some other ancient diet plan. Trust me when I say that eating green leafy vegetables is good for you because God made it that way, and that it had absolutely nothing to do with cavemen chasing down giant tigers.
A diet shouldn't fit a storyline. It should be based on facts and nothing else. The foods you eat should be real fruits and vegetables and healthy meats, not processed junk food. There are amazing healing properties in everyday foods like broccoli, tomatoes, avocadoes, blueberries, and on and on, and in "Never Quit" you'll find a whole chapter on nothing but great super foods with descriptions of their various health benefits. These kinds of foods can help lower your risk of suffering from a multitude of diseases including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and cancer.
If you don't know what real food is, and if you think that a box with the words healthy or natural on it that you can stick in a microwave is a good example of healthy food, then you absolutely need this book. Even if you are a seasoned pro in health and fitness, I believe you'll find this book a good way to get motivated and help you gain a greater understanding of health and fitness.
Never Quit lays it all out for you and doesn't try to sell you on wild stories. It teaches you how to create a healthy lifestyle and diet plan that fits your life. You don't have to be pursuing six pack abs to get something from the book, but you certainly could have them, if you want to work and plan for them. The book is filled with inspirational quotes and teaches you how to stay motivated to help you make permanent changes that don't fade away in a few weeks. It teaches you how to make good habits to replace bad ones.
Most importantly, the book puts health and fitness into the proper perspective, putting each level of health and fitness in order of importance. By building a good mental and spiritual foundation you can live more easily on a healthy diet that, in turn, enables you to be more active, and you learn the importance of balance in life. No amount of exercise or healthy food can overcome an unhealthy attitude. The mind, heart, and body are connected. Even the way we treat others has a huge bearing on the way we feel physically.
By the time you finish the book, you will have learned how to structure your life in a way as to live a healthier, happier life. Reboot your life with the basics of health and fitness and you'll never want to quit living a healthy lifestyle.
